Crusaders Fall To Tenaha, 52-18

T.K. Gorman was its own worst enemy in a 52-18 loss to Tenaha (1-1) Friday night at McCallum Stadium.

The Crusaders (0-2) committed seven turnovers, nearly all of which led to Tenaha touchdowns.

TKG quarterback Drew Russell completed 12 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown, but was intercepted four times.

Tenaha senior Jared Thomas completed 10 of 13 passes for 204 yards and three touchdowns while also rushing for 38 yards and two touchdowns. Tigers receiver Marlon McClure caught five passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns while also returning an interception 65 yards for a score.

Tenaha blazed out to a 24-0 first quarter lead before TKG answered with a 21-yard touchdown run by Jacob Becker.

The Crusaders looked to be in position to cut their deficit further in the second quarter, driving to the Tenaha 4. But penalties and a sack pushed TKG back to its 24 and McClure's interception return put the game out of reach.

Trailing 52-6 in the fourth quarter, the Crusaders gave their fans two late touchdowns. The first was a 13-yard pass from Russell to Nick Brunson. The second was a 1-yard run by Luke Molidor for the final 52-18 scoreline.
